“My works immerse us in an artistic universe that encompasses paintings, drawings, installations and mixed media works. I emphasize aesthetics, creating unprecedented situations in which the viewer faces the conditioning of their own perception and is forced to reconsider their biased position.
My work invites us to renegotiate the role of painting as part of a reactive or, at times, autonomous medium, while commenting on oppressive themes present in our contemporary society. By rejecting objective truth and global cultural narratives, I create intense personal moments through the masterful use of rules and omissions, acceptance and rejection, drawing the viewer in and taking them on a circular journey of reflection.
The works do not refer to recognizable forms. Rather, they are deconstructed as their meaning changes, and possible interpretations become multifaceted. Through abstraction, I seek to seduce the viewer and transport them to a world of continuous balance, exploring the interval that articulates the flow of daily events. Moments are represented that exist only to emphasize the human drama and to clarify our existence, finding poetic meaning in the everyday.
I invite viewers to enter the fascinating creative world where aesthetics are intertwined with deep reflection and social criticism. Through my works, I challenge us to question our pre-established perceptions and explore new paths of interpretation and understanding of contemporary art” DM
